About Chardham Yatra

Uttarakhand, also known as Devbhoomi or the Land of Gods, is home to numerous temples and spiritual sites. Among them, the Char Dham Yatra is one of the most significant pilgrimage circuits. This sacred journey covers four holy sites situated high in the Himalayas – Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri.

Embarking on this pilgrimage purifies the mind and soul, helping devotees attain spiritual liberation. These high-altitude shrines remain closed for six months each year, reopening around April or May and closing by October or November. Traditionally, the journey follows a clockwise direction: Yamunotri → Gangotri → Kedarnath → Badrinath.
